The Lawscot Foundation is now accepting applications from those who would like to mentor a foundation bursary student.

Applications opened last week to sign up for the scheme, which forms a crucial part of the Lawscot Foundation’s work to support young people to study Scots law and pursue a legal career.

Full training and support will be provided for the successful applicants who are matched with a Lawscot Foundation bursary student.

The mentors on the programme are often the first solicitors that many of our students meet, and they have an opportunity to contribute to the future of the student they are matched with. This relationship helps to make joining the legal profession less daunting by building the confidence of students and providing them with an opportunity to learn directly from someone within the profession.

If you are interested in applying to be a mentor then you can apply now using the application form found here. Applications opened on Thursday 1st August and will close at noon on Monday 26th August.
